Some Words About Me
I'm Nick Barber. I love learning and discovering new solutions to problems, especially when it comes to programming. I'm most experienced in C++, but I also have experience with common game engines like Unity and Unreal.
I was mainly self taught until I started my formal education at Central Pennsylvania Vo-Tech(CPAVTS). There I learned general IT skills, as well as programming fundamentals. I then began taking summer courses for game design at Harrisburg University, a course I would later teach in 2018.
During my time at SCAD for my BFA in Interactive Game Development, I focused on working on passion projects both solo and with teams. Many of my projects became noteworthy to the college, especially "Vacancy" which won several awards.
I moved to New York out of college and began working for a AA studio called First Playable Productions, where I created projects like Disney Snaps and Cooking Mama: CookStar. After which I worked as a contracted programmer in Verizon Labs, making experimental systems utilizing their 5G networks. Currently, I work for Lost Boys Interactive, working on the WWE games.
In my free time I founded a small LLC for creating passion driven projects called "Hush Fin Games".
